This week we set out to find material options for a new project as part of the design process with a client.

Requesting samples from multiple suppliers is time consuming and frustrating not knowing when items will arrive, and can also be wasteful, and can generate a considerable amount of carbon from the individual item deliveries.

We discovered Material Bank. Who allow us to compare hundreds of options and compile project associated material boards before making final selections. We then only need to request physical samples of a final material palette directly from from Material Bank. This allows us to assess the environmental performance of each material and reduce the transportation emissions.
