HAMPSHIRE & LONDON
PORTER ROBSON is a CIAT Chartered Architectural Practice established in 2019 by James and Gary.
We combine design-led thinking with strong technical delivery, supporting projects from early feasibility and architectural design through planning, detailed coordination and construction.
Our experience spans residential and PBSA, education, existing buildings and retrofit, heritage and adaptive reuse, low-energy design, change of use, and modular and offsite construction.
As a deliberately hands-on, senior-led practice, we remain closely involved throughout each project. This gives our clients the responsiveness and continuity of a focused studio, while allowing us to work effectively within larger multidisciplinary teams and on more complex commissions.
We believe good architecture depends on more than the initial idea. Planning, environmental performance, buildability, coordination and detail all form part of the design process.
That combination of design thinking and technical rigour sits at the centre of how we work.
DESIGN
Feasibility, architectural design and planning for new buildings, existing buildings and complex sites.
TECHNICAL DELIVERY
Detailed design, BIM, coordination, building regulation and construction information, either leading our own projects or providing executive delivery support to wider project teams.
SPECIALIST KNOWLEDGE
Retrofit and low-energy design, Passivhaus, MMC and offsite construction, residential development, PBSA and adaptive reuse.
